Bridging the gap between policy and innovation

Emerging technologies are transforming the economy faster than policy can keep pace. AIP closes that gap through educational programming that connects decision-makers directly with the innovators building the future.

Our Programming

Creating Experiential Learning Moments

AIP hosts a variety of educational events and programming. By cultivating a warm and open learning environment, AIP aims to create space for policymakers (and future policymakers!) to ask questions, explore use cases, and build genuine understanding in real-world contexts. This hands-on approach is designed to bring Members of Congress and their staff directly in conversation with those building the next generation technologies.

Empowering Next Generation Tech-Fluent Policy Professionals

Through the AIP Policy Innovation Fellowship, recent graduates have the opportunity to learn about emerging technology fundamentals, and then receive placements in congressional offices to experience the policymaking process firsthand. By investing in the next generation, we are embedding tech literacy in the policy development process and creating a pipeline of policy professionals who are passionate about getting tech policy right.

Building Cross-Sector Connections

AIP helps build authentic connections between all kinds of technologists and legislators. AIP intimately understands both worlds and the key players in each, and serves as a convener for those looking to learn through 1:1 interactions, small groups, or larger forum settings, allowing them to engage in honest conversation around timely topics.

Generating Third-Party Research

The 2026 Major Research Initiative will focus on quantifying how technological disintermediation, particularly through blockchain and AI, empowers the middle class by increasing take-home pay and expanding opportunities, providing critical data for Capitol Hill champions to advance a worker-first innovation agenda.
